Musa 'Black Thai'- Native to Thailand "Black Thai" grows to about 18 feet in height. Leaves and pseudostem are thinner than other Musa varieties. The pseudostem is rather colorful with shades of deep purple to almost black in appearance. This cultivar grows fast, is easy to care for and should be in every collector's garden. When planting "Black Thai" in the landscape, plant in an area where it will be sort of protected from wind.
